Several Killed After Train Hits Bus at Crossing

At least six people have died following a collision between a cargo train and a company bus at the Morendat Junction in Naivasha.
Witnesses said the accident occurred on Thursday evening when the bus, which was ferrying passengers, attempted to cross the railway line in front of the oncoming train.
Although the train driver reportedly applied emergency brakes, the distance was too short to stop in time and avoid the crash.
Eyewitnesses confirmed at least six fatalities, with the number of injuries yet to be determined.
Rescue efforts are ongoing, with police officers deployed to the scene to manage the situation, which has caused a major traffic snarl-up along the route.
