School Bus Ferrying Students Involved in Night Accident

The MP Shah Chania Boys High School bus was involved in an accident on Saturday night, leaving students stranded in Naivasha for the night before embarking on their journey to Thika on Sunday.
Reportedly, the accident took place at Kinungi along the busy Nakuru-Nairobi highway when the bus collided with a lorry.
Fortunately, the accident was relatively minor, andnone of the students were hurt in the process.
A video seen byKenyans.co.keshowed that the bus had caused a temporary traffic disruption, leading vehicles to reroute to go on with their journey.
Traffic marshals and police officers were also spotted on the scene helping direct the traffic.
The accident comes just a few days after 11 students from Hills Valley Academy in Ngong, Kajiado County, sustained injuries after their school bus was involved in a road accident.
According to reports, the bus was ferrying learners home from school at around 4.30pm when the accidentoccurred along Baboon Crescent Road.
Witnesses revealed that the accident occurred when the bus lost control under unclear circumstances and overturned along the murram road.
Locals who were on high alert quickly responded and began retrieving the trapped pupils from the wreckage before rushing them to the Kenswed Hospital.
On June 17, another school bus narrowly avoided a head-on collision by veering into a ditch along the Kasarani-Mwiki road.
Confirming the accident, the Motorists Association stated that the bus driver developed an epileptic attack and lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident along Kasarani-Mwiki Road.
In photos seen byKenyans.co.ke, the school bus could be seen stuck in the ditch on the side of the highway, although not much damage seemed to have come to it.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported during this incident either, andno students were seen in the vicinityof the vehicle.
