Ruto Sends Urgent Plea Ahead of Kenya vs Zambia Match

President William Ruto has issued a plea to Kenyans attending the football match between Kenya and Zambia at Kasarani on August 17.
Speaking when he met leaders from Kisii and Nyamira counties at State House Nairobi on August 15, Ruto urged Kenyans to respect the rules and regulations of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
“On Sunday, we have a match between Kenya and Zambia at Kasarani.I ask Kenyans, let’s not ‘burn the match’ (meaning to cause trouble). Let’s ensure we follow the procedures and the CAF rules,” he said.
He assured Kenyans that the national team has prepared well and has the ability to win the match.
“But I also want to ask all of you, Kenyans, when you go to the match, let’s make sure that we follow the CAF rules. This is important so that we can continue our football game in a fair and safe way. Let’s make sure we build our nation’s reputation as a nation that knows how to play football fairly and with respect,” he added.
