One Killed, Several Injured After Bus Collides with Private Car

A tragic road accident occurred on Friday, August 1, near Nanyuki along the busy Nairobi–Moyale Highway, involving a Liban bus and a private car.
The crash resulted in the death of the private car’s driver, who died on the spot.
Several passengers in both vehicles were injured and rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. The exact number of those injured has not yet been confirmed.
According to early reports, the Liban bus was travelling from Nairobi when it collided with the saloon car.
The cause of the accident has not yet been established, but police have launched an investigation.
In a separate incident, on June 14, 2024, four people died after a bus traveling from Nairobi to Moyale crashed near Gof Chopa.
The bus, which was carrying 60 passengers, had 41 people injured, with nine of them seriously injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was on its way to Moyale from Nairobi when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over on the highway.
