KRA Makes Three Leadership Changes

The Kenya Revenue Authority has appointed Nancy Ng’etich as the Commissioner for the Shared Services Department in three key leadership changes.
In a statement released on Thursday, KRA stated that the appointments were in line with ensuring that executive roles are substantively filled while maintaining continuity and accountability across the organisation.
“The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is pleased to announce key leadership appointments as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance service delivery and drive organisational excellence,” the statement read in part.
The KRA Board also tapped Rispah Simiyu and Doreen Mbingi, who will assume their newly appointed positions effective immediately.
Ngétich has been the acting Commissioner for the Shared Services Department, a position she has held since February 2023.
Before then, she was the Deputy Commissioner, Policy & International Affairs in the Customs & Border Control Department at KRA, and served in several other capacities outside the authority, contributing to customs reforms, trade facilitation, African Continental Free Trade Area negotiations and East African Community customs policy.
Simiyu and Mbingi have both been appointed to leadership positions in the Large & Medium Taxpayers Department, with Simiyu Seconded to the National Treasury and Economic Planning.
Mbingi, who is the Deputy Commissioner, Compliance East & South of Nairobi, on the other hand, has been appointed to lead the Large and Medium Taxpayers Department in an acting capacity, pending substantive appointment.
The authority further congratulated the new appointees, stating, “The Authority congratulates Ngétich and Mbingi on their appointments and urges all taxpayers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and collaboration.”
