Ex-CS Makes Media Comeback

Former Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney has made a comeback to the media world, joining Cape Media Limited as the Growth Strategy Consultant.
In her new role, Karoney will oversee policy and strategic changes geared towards making Cape Media, the parent company that ownsTV47, Radio47andTV47 Digital, and place it competitively in the market.
Karoney is remembered for her role in the Cabinet, where she served as CS for Lands and Physical Planning from 2018 to 2022 in former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Karoney holds an extensive media background, previously serving as Chief Operating Officer and Editorial Director at Royal Media Services, where she was credited with championing progressive advancements and pioneering initiatives that elevated the SK Macharia-owned media house.
Before that, she had roles at the Kenya Television Network (KTN), Nation Media Group, and Al Jazeera in various capacities.
