Counties to Experience Rain and Chilly Conditions This Week

The Kenya Meteorological Department has urged residents in several regions to brace for more rain and chilly conditions this week.
Rainfall is expected to continue in parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Rift Valley between Tuesday, September 9, and Saturday, September 13,according to the department’s weekly forecast.
Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka and Nairobi counties will experience sunny intervals in the mornings throughout the week.
Showers may occur in a few places in the afternoons during the forecast period and on Tuesday night. Cloudy conditions will prevail at night from Wednesday to Saturday.
The maximum temperatures in these areas are expected to be 29°C, while the minimum will be 7°C.
Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties, as well as the inland parts of Tana River County, will experience daylong sunny intervals and cloudy conditions for the next five days, according to Kenya Met.
According to the weatherman, the maximum temperatures in these areas are expected to be 32°C, while the minimum will be 9°C.
It is predicted that several parts of Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties, as well as Tana River County, may experience showers in a few places on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with sunny intervals on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
In the next five days, these regions will experience sunny intervals in the afternoons and cloudy conditions at night.
These counties are expected to record maximum temperatures of 31°C and minimum temperatures of 20°C.
Daylong rains and showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in several areas of Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot counties, including at night.
The maximum temperatures during this period in these counties are expected to be 30°C, while the minimum will be 9°C.
Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo counties are set to experience day-long sunny conditions and cloudy conditions at night during the forecasted period. The maximumtemperature is expected to be 37°C and the minimum of 14°C.
Turkana and Samburu counties will experience rain in a few places during the morning this week and sunny intervals during the afternoon, and cloudy conditions during the night. According to the weatherman, the maximum temperature in these areas will be 35°C, while the minimum temperatures are expected to be 08°C.
