Faith Kipyegon Wins Another Race in Poland

Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon has won the 3000m women’s race at the Silesia Diamond League in Poland.
The race was held on Saturday, August 16, where she clocked an impressive 8:07.04.
Kipyegon went desperately close to breaking the long-standing Women’s 3000m world record of 8:06.11.
The world record was set by Wang Junxia’s 32-year-old. Kipyegon is now the second fastest athlete over 3000m in history.
With the win, Kipyegon has broken six records, the African Record, National Record, Diamond League Record, World Lead, and Personal Best, among others.
This was her first official attempt at the distance since she was 20.
