Famous TV Anchor Leaves Station After 10 years

After 10 years at NTV, news anchor Loise Wangui announced her departure from Nation Media Group.
On Friday September 12, she presented her final edition of NTV Mashinani, bidding farewell to her colleagues and viewers.
Wangui, who had presented Mashinani for seven months, since February, said that she had enjoyed working on the show.
“The time has come for us to close, but today I am not just closing the bulletin. I am personally closing my journey at NTV Mashinani. Since February this year, it has been seven months of informing, educating, and entertaining you through NTV Mashinani.,” she said.
“We had the online Mashinani, Mashinani in towns and villages, and I believe you will soon know in whose hands it will remain. Today marks my very last day presenting NTV Mashinani because God has willed that I leave in peace, not in conflict,” Wangui said.
She also thanked the viewers for their loyalty and the Nation Media Group for the opportunity to serve at the media station.
“My dear viewer, you have been my pillar, my source of motivation, and my genuine supporter. Allow me to say goodbye. It has been 10 solid years of serving the nation and NMG, and I say thank you very much,” Wangui added in her remarks.
She did not disclose hermain reason for leaving the company or her next destination.
After she announced her departure, her colleagues paid emotional tribute to her, praising her for her work in the company.
“This is a very heavy day for us, especially for me as your supervisor, Lofty Matambo. I was not ready to hear you announce on air that you are leaving us,” NTV Jioni Swahili news anchor Lofty Matambo said.
“Loise, you shall be dearly missed. If you recall how we started NTV Sasa and NTV Today, I would often hand over to you. All the best in your next exploits,” Business Editor Julians Amboko added.
This comes days after The Trend host Amina Abdi Rabar also announced her exit from NTV after years at the same station.
