SHA Announces Mass Recruitment, How to Apply

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced over 500 job vacancies across different departments.
Some of the vacancies advertised by the authority require a minimum qualification of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Grade D.
“The Social Health Authority (SHA) is a State Corporation established under the Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, and mandated to provide financial risk protection for Kenyan residents by facilitating equitable access to quality healthcare,” the statement reads.
The authority invited qualified candidates to apply for the positions before October 2, 2025. All positions are offered on a permanent and pensionable basis.
Among the advertised vacancies are three Senior Driver positions and one Senior Office Assistant position, both requiring a minimum KCSE Grade D.
According to the advertisement, applicants for the Senior Driver posts must have nine years of work experience, a valid BCE driving licence, a defensive driving certificate, and first aid training. Senior Office Assistants are also required to have nine years of service, computer application skills, and experience in handling mail, office errands, and general administrative duties.
Beyond these entry-level requirements, the Authority announced that it is recruiting across senior and principal officer levels.
The largest number of vacancies are in county and Huduma Centre operations, with 47 Principal Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 183 Senior Registration and Compliance/Claims Management Officers, 99 Senior Registration and Compliance Officers, and 96 Senior Claims Management Officers.
Other opportunities include positions in finance, human resources, administration, legal, ICT, customer experience, planning, supply chain management, and internal audit.
These posts range from Principal Officers to Senior Officers, spread across different functions to support the Authority’s work.
According to the authority, applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution, which include submitting clearance certificates from the DCI, KRA, HELB, EACC, and a Credit Reference Bureau.
Applications should include a cover letter, a detailed CV, academic and professional certificates, and the contacts of at least three referees.
